Suraj Pancholi Now Under The Wings Of The D-Day Director

Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi's son Suraj Pancholi so far has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. But now, it looks like things are changing for better for the B-Town's budding actor. As per the reports, Suraj who is all set for his debut with the movie Hero remake, will be directed by filmmaker Nikhil Advani.

Nikhil Advani has directed movies like D-Day, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Patiala House and many more. And now we hear that Advani has been roped in to direct the remake of Subhash Ghai's 1983 musical blockbuster Hero, that will feature Suraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in the leads.

According to a source, since these are two different times, Jackie Shroff's "character has to be pitched differently now, more edgy and dark", that will be played by Suraj. On the other hand, Athiya's character will see no change from the original Meenakshi Sheshadri's character in the flick.

The source also added that Nikhil Advani "has a very sharp music sense", hence he "will retain some of the songs 'Pyar Karne Wale Kabhi Darte Nahin', 'Nindiya Se Jaagi Bahaar' and 'Tu Mera Hero Hai". Reportedly, Advani will also be directing the sequel to Mr India, that will be produced by Boney Kapoor.
