Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (BMB) is unstoppable at the Indian Box Office. Despite two new movies releasing this weekend, the Farhan Akhtar starrer has remained the first choice of moviegoers for fourth consecutive week. The movie has surpassed Rs 100 crore mark in the fourth weekend and become the third movie to join this club after Race 2 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in the year 2013.
The Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra-directed biopic opened to an average response with its occupancy ranging between 40% and 45%, but picked up very well over the weekend and maintained rock-steady in the following weeks. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has collected Rs 53.49 crores nett in the first week, Rs 26.1 crores nett in the second week and Rs 17.31 crores in the third week.
Trade experts had predicted that Bhaag Milkha Bhaag would cross Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office in the third week, but the movie fell short by Rs 3.1 crore. In the fourth weekend, it has added Rs 8 crores to its 24-day domestic total Rs 104 crores nett. Its third weekend breakup is Rs 1.30 cr on Fri, Rs 2.6 cr on Sat and Rs 3 cr on Sun. It has become Farhan Akhtar's first film to cross Rs 100 crore mark in the domestic market.
